Sigmund FriedPublished 5 years ago in Potent10 Side Effects of Being High
There is no more popular drug in this country than weed. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, more than 11 million Americans from the ages of 18 to 25 used cannabis in 2014. The institute also noted that use among youth has declined, though fewer young people consider weed a danger. While the side effects of being high become familiar with time, they may take a while to recognize or get used to at first. If you are not well versed and unsure if you are actually high, there are a number of symptoms to look for to confirm your suspicions. Most importantly, realize that being high is rarely dangerous to the body and will always wear off, so don't let any of these realizations alarm you. Once you have some experience under your belt, you will recognize that you are gonna be fine, and it's all in your mind. Wendy WeedlerPublished 5 years ago in Potent Are You a Cannabis Addict?
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, over 11 million people between the ages of 18 and 25 got high smoking weed in 2015. During the years since then, not only has marijuana become legal in more areas, but the usage of the herb is also more widely accepted. Of all the “illegal” drugs—because it is still illegal in many states, even medicinally—it is used the most often. This is a no judgment zone on that account, as there are both pros and cons of marijuana legalization. However, the mistake is in believing that because it's a recreational drug and addiction rates are incredibly low, it cannot be addictive at all. While addiction to marijuana is rare, the truth is simple: If you've ever stopped to ask yourself, “Self, are you a cannabis addict?” The chances that you have a problem (and you, yourself, probably) are high.

Santa Took Shrooms
If you ever read fairy tales or played Super Mario before, then you've probably seen this red toadstool mushroom once or twice. However, you’ve probably never guessed that the Amenita Muscaria or Fly Agaric in English is where the very origins of Christmas stemmed from. From Santa's style, reindeer, bag of goodies, midnight flight, sleigh, the way we decorate our houses and even chimney-based entry into homes can all be tied back to the ancestral traditions of the Sami people from Finland—as well as other arctic circle dwellers.
Sarah McDanielPublished 5 years ago in Potent Pop Stars Who Love Weed
There's no denying that there is a relationship between weed and music, and we're not just talking about the pop stars who love weed. Cannabis is very popular among many walks of life, from rappers to athletes to even the average Joe like you and me. At least as far back as the Beatles (though it certainly goes back as far as Louie Armstrong and other early jazz greats), cannabis has had some association with creativity. While it is not for everyone, it would seem that a disproportionate number of pop stars share an enjoyment of cannabis. Publications like High Times have been some of the few outlets where famous people were willing to admit their love of marijuana. As the push to legalize marijuana marches on, medical marijuana and recreational weed are becoming more acceptable in mainstream culture. While weed is most closely associated with a few specific musical acts—Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, and Jimi Hendrix just to name a few—there are many more mainstream pop stars who love weed and smoke weed regularly.
Fred Eugene ParkPublished 5 years ago in PotentStages of Being High
No two highs are the same, just as no two people and no two strains are the same, but there are some decidedly familiar stages of being high that you probably know quite well. Not all of them are great—you can't predict when a wave of paranoia might wash over you—but from the first moments of trying to gauge your high to those final, meditative moments before you drift off for the night, a lot of it is pretty darn good. It's always a different experience, with familiar phases and stages in each.
