You're my shining star

I’ll do the best I can for you and walk away

It was selfish for me to think, it was an option to stay

Foolish to fall in love with someone sky high

Crazy for me to think that the rules wouldn’t apply

This was never the plan for me to fall

But sometimes love makes an unexpected call

And fall I did, faster than I could ever foresee

I never imagined you would mean so much to me

Now, I leave to give you the life that you deserve

Memories tattooed on my heart, I will preserve

My wish is that you one day realize how amazing you are
