** Disclaimer: Some of the poetry in this series may contain references to self-harm and suicide as well as strong language. All work is written by me from 2009-2012, ages 15-18. Some can be found in my book, Memories of a Troubled Teen by Paige Guffey, available on Amazon. **

***These are written before I had an official and accurate diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar 2. These are representative of my life, thoughts and feelings during this time period. ***

These are words unspoken,

From a heart severely broken.

A pain unmanageable,

A truth far from tangible.

A darkness overhead looms,

Punishing some to certain doom.

Readers beware, your fate has changed,

The fates have decided to play a nasty game.

Judged by the cover, not by what’s inside,

A soft, warm heart grew to ice.

No longer beating,

The soul no longer breathing.

Forever lost from the sun,

Searching forever for the one.

No where to hide, nowhere to flee,

A broken heard exposed for all the world to see.

A harsh warning to those who did not believe,

The Devil himself has been set free.
