We Are The Storm
Endless Energy
This is for the "Grains Of Sand" challenge created by Cendrine Marrouat
Thunder and lightning, could be you and me
the way we heat up, like electricity
The heat here between us, could start up a fire
we've got this connection, right down to the wire
*
The rain comes in waves, quenching the aftermath
burning through innuendos, creating a path
Leading to salvation, the sweet thrill of release
creating a safe haven, a true masterpiece
*
Like the sea to the shore, your love pulls me in
spreading your waves over the whole of my sand
The moon gazes on, as we build castles of desire
washing over us like a sweet cleansing of fire
*
After the storm, the breeze blows in a calm
and we mingle together, neath the fray of the palm
You, like the moon, hold me here in the glow
becoming one with the moon, and his ebb and flow

Abstract poetry in motion. Sands of desire. Great take on the challenge,
Kelli, this really is a perfect fit for the challenge. I love your line "spreading your waves over the whole of my sand" - to me, that captures the duality of plurality and individuality that sand and people carry.
Well done, Kelli! Really enjoyed it! For those who would like to try the challenge: https://vocal.media/art/the-grains-of-sand-challenge
Beautiful piece, Kelli. So well done.
This felt so reassuring and uplifting! Fantastic poem!
I love the imagery you use here, Kelli.
That was beautiful and very visual. Was this for the grains of sand challenge from Cendrine? . If so it’s a great entry.
Another beautiful love poem, Kelli! Well done!
