It's the Winter days

That spark memories of us inside my brain

Unexpected love,

and you said you'd never feel like that again

We'd turn our phones off,

and feel how it felt to be safe again

Making love til the hours turned late again

Remember I was the one you cancelled your plans for?

When you said you'd keep my brown eyes in your top drawer?

Remember when we knelt down on your bedroom floor?

You opened up to me,

and you said you've never done that before?

It's the Winter days

That spark memories of us inside my brain

Unexpected love,

and you said you'd never feel like that again

We'd turn our phones off,

and feel how it felt to be safe again

Making love til the hours turned late again

Remember I was the one you cancelled your plans for?

When you said you'd keep my brown eyes in your top drawer?

Remember when we knelt down on your bedroom floor?

You opened up to me,

and you said you've never done that before?
