To lose this fear
Would be surreal
To lose this fear
Would mean I'm real
A real life, with real pain
Instead of this fake pain that fear plays
How to be brave?
How to walk outside with nothing in my brain
I am certain, I am sure that when fear leaves
My world would change, my soul would rest
Without this fear I could see far
I could reach far beyond my room
Try as I might I cannot lose it
But I keep asking every night and day
How to lose to this fear?

Not everyone can be trusted
When my friend and I were 12 years old, we went on a 5-day school trip to Switzerland with our class. We were introduced to the trip leaders, a group of 5 people - 1 girl and 4 boys. They all seemed nice except for one of the boys, who I'll call Nathan. I had an uneasy feeling about Nathan from the start, though my friend dismissed my concerns, saying I tend to have trust issues.
