A poem for all the wonderful mothers out there who have helped to make me to into the very best mom that I can be.

Inspired by Martina McBride’s This One’s For The Girls.

This One's For The Moms

This is for all the moms of brand newborns,

The beginning can sure be tough and feel so foreign,

But just keep doing what feels right to you,

If you trust your gut, you’ll know just what to do.

This one’s for the moms.

This is for all the moms who’ve made mistakes,

Who’ve made sacrifices for their children’s sake,

Who’ve dried countless tears and earned a million laughs,

The ones rarely in the family photographs.

This one’s for the moms,

Who’ve ever cried themselves to sleep,

Who’ve worried they won’t live out the week,

You’re stronger than it may seem.

This one’s for the moms,

Who don’t care what other people say,

Who make the most of every day.

All around the world,

This one’s for the moms.

This is for all the moms who help each other out,

With no-judgement, while easing each others’ doubts.

Everytime you offer out your hand,

You’re helping another mother stand.

This one’s for the moms,

Who juggle work and motherhood,

Who stay at home to raise their brood,

Who don’t do it for the gratitude.

This one’s for the moms,

Who breast feed, pump or do formula,

Who avoid trends or do what’s popular.

All around the world,

This one’s for the moms.

Yeah, we have an important role,

Raising the leaders of tomorrow.

This one’s for the moms,

Who’ve suffered a grievous loss,

Who’ve had to hide their pain with shiny gloss,

Your strength - I can’t begin to get across.

This one’s for all the moms,

Whose children now have children too,

Who are that ray of light, even with a stomach flu.

All around the world,

This one’s for the moms.
