The Walk of Life
Two steps forward, one step backwards
Heartbreak,
Agonising pain,
Grief,
Sorrow,
Depth of depression.

Joy of anticipation,
Laughter from the belly,
Happiness,
Excitement,
The preciousness of touch.
**
Heart-swelling love,
Tears of joy,
The gift of giving,
Adoration,
Sexual attraction.
**
Love at first sight,
The bond of parenthood,
Friendship,
Sisterhood,
Sibling love.
**
Death of a loved one,
Sobbing anguish,
Tightness in the chest,
Overwhelming desperation,
Giving up.
**
Pride of achievement,
A job well done,
Stranger connection,
Group support,
Understanding.
**
Simplistic empathy,
Power of touch,
Supportive hug,
Listening ear,
Soothing words.
**
Awe of Mother Nature,
Beauty appreciation,
Creative outcomes,
Gracefully aging,
Letting go.
**
Surrender,
Support,
Ecstasy,
Sensory perception,
The love of life.
