The Sea and You

Short poets

By Anh HoangPublished 28 days ago 1 min read

If the city saddens you, come to the sea with me

The azure sea with its thousand waves

The wind whispers, igniting hope

All your sorrows, you'll see them fade away

If one day the city offers nothing to bring you joy

Then return to the sea

Here, I'll take you

To the edge of the horizon, to watch the wind dance with the clouds

If one day you need a hand

To guide you through storms and gales

Or to rid yourself of sorrow's burden

Then come back to hear the sea sing with me!

And one day the boat returned to ask the sea,

"Did you feel lonely without the boat?"

Each person's life, the events of the past, how many things are worth remembering? Ten years? A hundred years? A thousand years? Eventually, they all slowly fade away, quietly dying with time.

OMG, I loved this!! It was a twist at the end with the boat asking the sea that question! Greta job! Beautiful poem. ❣️
