Farewell sunset

Short poetry

By Anh HoangPublished 27 days ago 1 min read

Why hold on, inviting sorrow's wrath,

When love once vibrant now fades in its path?

In joyful days, vows of love were professed,

In months of longing, memories oppressed...

Yet our bond, like crimson threads, still remains,

Binding our hearts in depths that sustain.

Who knew the melody of love's sweet lyre

Would cease, leaving sunset's purple fire!

The sunlight gently kisses your slender frame,

Why, my sister, do you let the evening's lament claim?

Your steps continue as if they'll never halt,

Leaves swirl, caught in the gaze of your assault!

Are you sulking with half of love's embrace,

Or perhaps dreaming of a romantic space?
