Waves

Short poetry

By Anh HoangPublished 28 days ago 1 min read

Waves begin from the wind

Where does the wind start?

I don't know either

When did we fall in love?

The wave beneath the deep

The wave upon the surface

Oh, the wave longs for the shore

Day and night, sleep escapes

My heart remembers you

Even in dreams, I'm awake

Whether heading northward

Or traversing southward

Wherever I am, I think

Towards you - a direction

Out there in the vast ocean

Amidst a hundred thousand waves

Which one doesn't reach the shore?

Despite myriad obstacles

Life, though lengthy

Years still pass by

Like that vast ocean

Clouds still drift afar

love poems

Each person's life, the events of the past, how many things are worth remembering? Ten years? A hundred years? A thousand years? Eventually, they all slowly fade away, quietly dying with time.
