The Power Of Love

The sweetest language that should rule our world

Words are not the most powerful language,

No, it is the power of love that sustains us all,

The language that whispers directly to our soul,

The magic of love is one that sends us all its call.

***

Silence coveted within the walls of someone’s love,

Is the golden bliss experienced in all its glory,

The shower of intentions moulded with joy,

Whispering directly to your heart its powerful story.

***

Words spoken within the boundaries of love,

Are softly harmonising the waves of its spell,

Weaving and ducking through your bloodstream,

Guiding and highlighting the love it does tell.

***

Washing over every loving relationship,

Basking in the sunlight in which it dawns your day,

Even the gentlest scolding done with love,

Is a lesson learned and not a harsh word to say.

***

The fingertips of desire whispers across your skin,

Blooming a rose of such sheer perfection,

Hormones respond deliciously aspiring,

With no hesitation of returned affection.

***

Tomorrow the darkness will disappear awhile,

As giggles and laughter lovingly grace each trail,

The heart’s at its fullest and all is right with the world,

The strong grow stronger and love supports the frail.

***

Every decision made in the honour of love,

Moves us forward on our given trek,

The winding roads of our future glisten,

Until the peaceful dying of hatred is checked.

***

Wonderful thoughts change our perception,

When the flow of love is at its pinnacle,

Surrounded by feelings of bliss and happiness,

Outcomes even the most disbelieving and cynical.

***

Strive for a life time of love and harmony,

Blessing and miracles a sure bet,

Learn the power of conversing with love,

And feel the positivity as your future is set.

***

Each day brings unfathomable possibilities,

To honour the hours and minutes freely given,

Perfection is not the absence of mistakes,

But in the generosity of love forgiving.

***

Smile through the pain of losing love,

Knowing it was not given sincerely,

Believe in the day that’ll arrive unexpectedly,

When the power of love is honoured clearly.

***

Wallow in the clouds of desire and wishes,

Harmoniously attracting a never ending shower of adoration,

Live your life within the universal power of devotion,

As you open your heart to love’s exploration.

***

If all is done in the name of true love,

Less destruction will ensue throughout our day,

Life will be smoother, the pain more tolerant,

And we’ll be loyal within our faith that all is okay.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

    Simply Beautiful Colleen!

  • I Corinthians 13. The two great commandments. What perfection means to John Wesley--to be made perfect in love. These are what defines who I aspire to be. From your words, I understand you to aspire to the same. As with the Rechabites in the Old Testament, "If your heart is as mine, take my hand." Blessings.

  • The Power of Love ❤️ 💯😉😍🎯

  • I just hate everything about love right now. True love in your last stanza. I think the only true love is the one parents have for us. That's it
