So Smooth

A face as smooth as porcelain

with eyes dark as the night

The moon asks her permission

to shine on her, his light

Her smile, like polished silver

with a sleek and velvet mane

Her touch could make you quiver

driving a careless man insane

Creamy was her complexion

calm and soothing, when she spoke

She matched the constellations

every morning, when she woke

Effortlessly she flows through life

unafraid of what befalls her

As carefree as a bird in flight

living lost, within a whisper

The rhythm follows lead

anxiously awaiting what comes next

The melody joins faithfully

matching her moves, step for step

The fluidity of beauty

blended with that cool and airy beat

A natural call to duty

making love, both silky smooth and sweet

Could this be turned into a song?

  • I've lost my heart to her far too many times, already. I can no longer bear to look, especially as wonderfully as you have described her.

Oh, I like this one! Great poem, and a bit of Santana was a nice touch!
