I wonder if the raindrop feels its transition into a snowflake

Fragile, subtle beauty forms as the warmth silently escapes

In a blink, the wandering drizzle stars, freezing patterns on my window

As the salty teardrops gently fall leaving imprints on my pillow

The seamless transformations, of a black heart, as it burns

Or the flawless, painful feeling of the broken as it turns

Smoothly the fracture takes its toll, leaving unique mosaic tracks

The beauty in survival comes, when we change, where we are at

The blessing in the broken and the healing of a soul

That we never would have grown from, had the snowflake never formed

This could be a way of describing the winter season for it could be quite emotional for some.

  • As memories come together & everything begins to crystalize, of course it is bound to feel it. Especially as its whole world begins to harden & crack. But you are not alone, Kelli.

  • I hear you. Beautiful prose
