The sound of the water, finding its peace
The soft gentle trickle, as it settles in place
The call of the wind as it taps on my window
Howling to come in, to tell secrets it knows
Where it has been and the things it has seen
A sensational whirling, creating a scene
Mixed with the water, what a powerful force
The hills and the mountains, gently being coerced
Into a beautiful harmony, of patience and time
Carving a picture, a magical paradigm
And we the sole witness, the ones benefitting
Reaping life's bounties, while the world keeps spinning
Weaving a web, intricate, smooth and delicate
Revealing its secrets, both harsh and elegant
Never skipping a beat, one step in front of the other
Displaying the beauty of earth's nature, and mother
