my mouth

torment, fear
rage
suppressed
torn dress
foreign throats
barking
commands

fingers, fists
kicking, biting
struggling
dying --
swallowing
snot, blood
tripping
over
my
tongue

Shame:
emerging
discarded
eyes cast
downward
walking
away
with heavy feet
alone
through
crowded streets

Wow is this painful! The world is such a wretched place sometimes. Makes me feel both angry and helpless. Still, it's good to be reminded that much still needs to be done.
