surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Back To Life
After awhile I learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and changing a soul. I learn that love doesn’t mean leaving and company doesn’t mean security. I learned that kisses aren’t contracts and rings aren’t vows promise forever. I’ve learned to accept defeat with my head held high and my eyes ahead. With full grace as a woman not as a foolish child. As I’m learning to rebuild my life again. Because tomorrow's world is uncertain and the future falls in mid-flight. After a while vows hold no real meaning. As of today I no longer strive for perfection and love in someone. I learned my strength in a storm in the middle of a hurricane. I now know my worth as a woman. The more I learned about myself everything that was promised in the beginning has an expiration date. (Back to life)
