Broken Crayons

Broken doesn't define you.

I bring color

to everyone.

I make a picture

come to life.

I am the reason

that a person smiles.

At least,

I used to be.

Someone thought

it would be better,

broken underneath the pressure

of hands who hated

the happiness I gave.

I'm worthless now.

But is that

really true?

I can still bring color.

I can still bring

pictures to life.

I can still make

someone smile.

But now I can

share it with

someone else.

We can both bring

color to a paper world.

So just because

we may be broken;

it doesn't mean

we're not of any use.

Here's the proof.
