social commentary
There's a rich history of poetry serving as social commentary, intended to inspire calls to action.
Analog. Top Story - August 2026.
I am shifting analog handwriting postcards, crocheting on my couch, embracing the back and forth of cutting, ironing, sewing, ironing again until I hold something new, something physical, something real in a reality far too plagued with things created by those who couldn't be bothered to make the thing themselves I map out stories in notebooks with dollar store pens, outline the edges of fascism, of ignorance, of ungodly low standards, creating cautionary tales of the baffling loss of humanity it can be called nothing else to shift the beauty of learning, of expression, of creating art to code, to replace falling in love with psychosis, burying loneliness not in finding each other but in AI love affairs and LLM confidants I'm not buying into a virtual reality, not outsourcing my own brain, wasting water to waste the limited time we have to exist in this world by never bothering to think for myself What a sad existence it must be to fall for the lie, to mimic a stolen, robotic cadence, and call it art, claim it as your own.

War
We bomb and decimate every night, But have no fear were winning the fight. As prices soar and people go hungry The tariffs bring income but no finale The price of goods none oversee Price gouging; couldn''t they foresee We bomb and decimate every night, But have no fear were winning the fight. And gas prices soar beyond belief The American people see no relief Its all ok said The Commander in Chief But Charlie Brown would say Good Grief We bomb and decimate every night, But have no fear were winning the fight. Our wounded soars to six twenty-four An acceptable number because its war. But eighteen lives we lost thus far American servicemen who are no more. Eileen Buckiewicz

New cells
New cells they should smile when You are in a new place instead they are still processing what have you went through from past present and the now and the ongoing turmoil that you havent choose in your life and the ongoing rage that you havent choose in your life and the ongoing harm from all the narcissistic psychopathic and sociopathic tongues and their attacks during ghostly month it even gets more and more stuck for highly sensitive souls who process or need time to process things and people and all around who can not just feel but they truly live another human life which is enough to handle in additional baggage but where it all lead it leads to the entire hard work and healing it leads to discoveries of the unknown and entirely being in another kind of discovered spaces and worlds the pain arrives when you are confronted with some of the human land mind and you cant get out feeling forever stuck in their painful mind harmful mind anger mind often its too much at once so the only way is to be wiser even if things are unbearable over and over again even if people behaviour are unbearable even if you are constantly getting sick or in pain as of them keep on trying to make it through survive a day or two often the universe and phases of the moon are not making it any better but in the whole picture the moon still is trying to help the stars especially the good ones are always in the offer of a new hope new vision new health opportunities to take

Never Photograph the Eclipse of Someone’s Heart
Never Photograph the Eclipse of Someone’s Heart Never photograph the eclipse of someone’s heart, For you may capture shadows tearing them apart, The camera sees the darkness crossing the light, But never knows what someone carries through the night.

Husk
You swept into my life And stole all my nights That bled into years My greatest of fears Animated within A soulless husk Frankenstein At least Left his monster with a mob Where by the end Even our passion was an act Until you finally Blessedly Evaporated Leaving me alone with A blood-drained heart And a wine-stained bed
