A Heart Still Waiting
I watched you drift away, Your footsteps fading slow, And while you kept on walking, I stayed, unable to let go. The world moved on without me, But I’m stuck in the past, Holding onto moments That I hoped would always last. You found new skies to chase, I stayed beneath the rain, Reaching for your laughter, While holding onto pain. I feel your warmth around me In the places you once were, But now the quiet lingers Where your voice was soft and sure. I smile like I'm healing, But inside, I still stay, Caught in what we built together That time won’t take away. So here I am, in shadows, Locked inside my mind, Loving you in memories, A heart you left behind.

Whispers of What Once Was
In the stillness of a quiet space, Soft whispers linger, time won’t erase. Pictures hang on the wall, so dear, Each one tells a story, brings you near. We once laughed, our joy so bright, Now those moments fade from sight. Promises spoken, words so sweet, In this silence, my heart skips a beat. We danced together under the stars, Now those memories feel so far. A love that shone like a bright flame, Now just memories, never the same. Time keeps moving, but I feel stuck, Holding onto echoes, feeling the weight of luck. Though you're gone, your spirit remains, In every shadow, I feel your chains. I'll learn to move on, day by day, Finding comfort as I find my way. But in my heart, you will always stay, A lost love that will never fade away.
