sad poetry
The cathartic nature of poetry makes it one of the best outlets to channel feelings of sadness, emotional turmoil, grief and despair.
Coming Home Made Real
Delta asked what lunch I want on flight home. Leaving Georgia made real. *** I am in Telavi (capital of the Kakheti region) right now, getting ready to deliver my last academic presentation for Telavi State University students. Will be back in Tbilisi this evening and start packing. My flight to the US is on June 1 and Delta has made my departure real and imminent with a simple inquiry about what lunch option I would prefer on my flight home. Until now, it seemed like I still had a lot of time left. Nine months have just flown by. I'm sure I will be back in the beautiful country of Georgia again.

Bankruptcy and Watermelon Belly
The incorrigible grifter husband filed for bankruptcy. Shaming his parents. Shaming his wife. His easy way out of paying his creditors - some of them small business owners who knew his father well and thought, wrongly: Like the father, so is the son.
