They screenshot the swagger, but the swagger don’t save Only static left where the legend once waved I’m the blur in the background, the myth in the mist

They zooming on the kicks, but the kicks already dust Legacy in pixels, but the real me bust Through the exit door where the footage cuts black
Now the same streets whisper secrets I don’t wanna hear Faces I grew up with turned to strangers in the rear Money came in waves but the trust started to drown
They caught me on the corner where the cameras blink slow Pockets full of problems, but the drip still glow Every step a statement, every stare a crime
Lights on the dash like a permanent rave I’m ridin’ on E but I still won’t behave Sirens in rearview, I dance with the wave
skies crack open, blessings in the thunder every drop a diamond, every puddle a come up we been duckin' shade, now we dancin' in the water
they want the glory but don’t want the grind want the applause but can’t handle the climb I been the one who stayed when it was cold
lightning in the distance, power in the veins every raindrop carryin' somebody's pain we wash it off quick, let the past go down the drain
Dawn crackin’ open, I’m already in motion Engine still hot from the night’s locomotion Text full of commas, but zero emotion
Is it me who got the city on a string? Who turned the night into a diamond ring? everybody claim they got the same dream but when it rain they all forget the team
One day the truth might catch my tail, Two worlds crash, whole thing derail, But till then I ride with the double life, One in the front, one in the back of the ride,
Second line ringin', I hit decline, She on the line talkin' future and time, Meanwhile I got another on rewind, Same lies, different name, same design,
