Gone Everyday

verse 1

By Forest GreenPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Dawn crackin’ open, I’m already in motion

Engine still hot from the night’s locomotion

Text full of commas, but zero emotion

Numbers on paper, but my soul feelin’ frozen

Mama keep callin’, I hit decline twice

She know that her boy got a mountain of vice

Streets call me louder than blood or advice

I answer with mileage, not words or a price

Pockets get heavy, but nights gettin’ hollow

Friends turn to shadows when cash start to follow

Dreams on the back burner, flame turned to coal

I’m diggin’ for gold while my youth turnin’ old

Stack after stack, but the cost keepin’ tally

Every new win got a ghost in the valley

I smile for the gram, but the lens see a mask

The real me is somewhere still stuck in the past
