An Ode to Long Lost Summers
I remember the heat Of endless July Hair frizzing Freckles etched permanently Into my sun-kissed skin Laying on soft splinters of green Searching the topaz sky For familiar faces in the clouds. They smile at me Those infinitesimal cotton comforts Holding my dreams And space For a girl Still growing wings

Why I Want to Learn to Read My Poetry Aloud (And Why You Should Too). Top Story - August 2026.
Right. Before we begin, I’m gonna have to warn you. The following video contains me, sitting in my garden, reading aloud a poem I wrote this very morning while my girlfriend (aka trusty online-pimp/videographer) filmed from behind.

Trade the Pressure for Peace
From childhood, we are constantly taught that we must become stronger, more outstanding, and more successful. We relentlessly pursue "power"—higher salaries, more prestigious titles, and a more flawless image. But have you noticed that those who seem powerful aren't necessarily at peace? They might suffer from insomnia, anxiety, or even hesitate to laugh too freely.

Forgetting Faith
Verse One I lose my steady ground when my anger takes control, Forgetting God is present and trying to guide my soul. And each time I let frustration tell me what I should say, I show I do not trust Him and that He will lead the way. Verse Two When judgment shapes my words, I turn my heart from what is right, Assuming I see clearly when I’m only hiding from His sight. And spreading gossip only proves my ego thinks I know His rightful plan, Even though God has said such wisdom isn’t mine to command. Chorus Forgetting faith is how my heart goes wrong. Forgetting faith is why my fear grows strong. But remembering faith is how I keep God's truth. Remembering faith is all my heart needs to do Cuz forgetting faith is how my heart goes wrong. Verse Three When I forget His truth, I only close the door Treating what He teaches like it’s something I can ignore. Disrespecting what is sacred only breaks my soul inside, For faith is how I learn to walk in what is truly right. Bridge Let go of every burden, Let go of every pride. The heart stays close to heaven When faith becomes our guide. Final Chorus Forgetting faith is how my heart goes wrong. Forgetting faith is why my fear grows strong. But remembering faith is how I keep God's truth. Remembering faith is all my heart needs to do Cuz forgetting faith is how my heart goes wrong. Yes, forgetting faith is how my heart goes wrong.
