My body is a temple but I was locked outside, robbed of my own skin so I slashed and fought my way back in. I tried to burn through my flesh in order to reclaim what was mine. When I looked into the mirror, I did not see myself. I saw someone or rather something else. As long as I can remember I felt out of place. It sounds a bit cliché like I'm yet another teen tortured by angst and struggling to comp with reality. The truth is, I don't care.
