I Am New

I woke up,

A feeling of confusion

Taking over me.

Am I awake?

Yes.

Then, a feeling of regret.

That dream was lovely.

I want to go back.

I want that feeling of

Pure happiness I felt.

I want to feel that inspiration

Again.

A new passion filled me,

Finding every dip and cave

In my mind.

A new love filled my heart,

Putting a smile on my face.

For the first time in years,

I woke up and smiled.

I am a new person; I am someone

I never thought I could become.

This person who loves something

I never thought I could love.

Finding who you are meant to be

Has never been so hidden.

But to find it in a dream;

That is true passion.
