It's Raining
My world It's raining all over! No snowing There is clover and alfalfa Oh mama left me in September buried in October the next year my sister left me in September buried in October My cancer started in September left on a beautiful day in May They still are tracking to keep me from taking the cancer trip again. I am aging, You have to be tough I was told, it can be rough They are right it can be a fright! Love makes the world go round that is what I have found September is also raining recovery on me the family illness, you see had me, but when I turned 24 on September of 1978 I was all for the beginning of no more jealousy, and sarcasm, or control and manipulation, or staying up all night to see what happened, right? Then in September 1980, I found I had to put down and it turned me around My life changed from chaos to sound beauty and love, and I have been given so much, and the celebration of recovery happens in this month too So, it is a mix of loss and love for me and who else but Halloween and several too who say Boo! Just around the corner in October for me and you.

Long Weekend
Itβs not uncommon to get some snow in OctoberΒ where Iβm from, images pass our window as the rose colour sets in. Itβs impossible passing by to see inside, impossible not to stare, you canβt help but admire its briefness. I avoid turkey too and everything else that separates dark from light. Sunflower hang their heads, the birds hang around just a little longer, the last day of the long weekend not much to say.

All the Sweet Things
Here I am with yet another wonderful limerick about my favorite month of the year: October. Please enjoy! ππβ Can you feel it? The crisp breeze in the air? Crunchy leaves that I stomp upon without a care? Warm sweaters and hot apple cider by the mug, But you know what wraps me in a big, comfy hug? Mountains of candy, with plenty to share! ππβ I drool thinking the succulent treats crinkling in the shopping bag. Kit-Kats, Snickers, Peppermint Patties, and Reese's Pumpkins are what I like to snag. Might grab a few bags of Lindt Maple Cremes, Finding popcorn balls is harder than it seems, And no, I don't worry about the price tag! ππβ But you know what's really sweet? Something that truly can't be beat? Giving away my bountiful feast, Sharing with those I hate least, And now, my fall fantasy is complete! ππβ
