My world

It's raining
all over!
No snowing
There is clover
and alfalfa
Oh mama
left me in September
buried in October
the next year
my sister
left me in September
buried in October
My cancer started
in September
left on a beautiful day
in May
They still are tracking
to keep me from taking
the cancer trip again.
I am aging,
You have to be tough
I was told, it can be rough
They are right
it can be a fright!

Love
makes the world go round
that is what I have found
September is also
raining recovery on me
the family illness, you see
had me, but when I turned 24
on September of 1978 I was all for
the beginning of no more
jealousy, and sarcasm, or
control and manipulation,
or staying up all night
to see what happened, right?
Then in September 1980, I found
I had to put down and it turned me around
My life changed from chaos to sound
beauty and love, and I have been
given so much, and the celebration
of recovery happens in this month too
So, it is a mix of loss and love for me and who
else but Halloween and several too who say Boo!
Just around the corner in October for me and you.
