fact or fiction
Is it fact or merely fiction? Fact or Fiction explores the myths and beliefs we hold about what makes a good poem and the poetry rules that were made to be broken.
The Power of Distance
Some people don’t need more communication; they need to leave. Many of us are stuck in a misconception: "If I explain clearly, show a little more patience, and try a little harder, the other person will understand, and our relationship will improve."

COSMIC BLUES 1992 — by Vicki
Cosmic Blues 1992 is a memory film set to music; a blues reel pulled from a decade when San Francisco still hummed with old ghosts and new stories. Some moments never fade; they just wait for the right song to wake them. This piece carries the Palace glow, the Polk Street neon, the barefoot trolley ride, and the Native films we brought to the festival. It’s part memory, part music, part time capsule, a slow burn of truth, fog, and the kind of moments that still echo through me.

Nothing fancy just the kind of small ritual that becomes the heartbeat of a friendship. The bay stretched out behind the palms, pretending to be calm.

Loving Without Losing Yourself
The kind of woman a man truly loves and can’t let go of is usually not the most stunningly beautiful, nor necessarily the wealthiest. What a man truly can’t bear to part with is the woman who genuinely wants a long-term relationship with him, yet maintains her own independence and doesn't tie her entire life to him.
