An arrival of something that is unexpected

A delightful surprise

to my got-used-to-it eyes

Grateful for this wondrous gift

My mind reveres, my dampened heart does lift

I reach out and pull in the generous prize

It has no physical form

It is something in disguise

A new beginning, a new purpose

It is like I've stepped onto the same street

But I'm walking it for the first time

An invisible wave of supportive hands

Pushing me gently toward what I need

There is not much in my life that can go stale or old

I am learning to embrace the swift change of time

As I see the mute color palette brighten up into gold
