you came and claimed your space insisted instead of instead of
ignored the lack of vacancy
then asked me to unfold my origami
blind to it's form
and the pressed creases
that it took it to take it's form

as it fell
my form was of your keep
lost then found
engaged in a game of paper, rocks, scissors
left not crumbled but invaded
fragile and unraveled
unable to tell your skin from my own unable to tell if i was
me looking at you
or was i you looking at me
it was then when i felt
i lie here flat and unformed
limp and crease-less
your absence like punishment
teaches me only that origami is beautiful and what remains here are but scraps and torn edges of paper after a game with rocks and scissors
still it was then when i felt
