October
A Promise Of
and October came with,
a promise,
of changing leaves,
shorter days,
magical displays;
a promise,
of harvesting the reap,
summer’s labors,
bred deep;
a promise,
of cooler days,
rides in the hay!
spooky ways;
a promise,
of a chance for snow,
oh no!!
say it’s not so;
a promise,
of trick or treat,
money or eat,
costumes complete;
a promise,
of witches,
and goblins,
apple bobbin;
a promise,
of ghosts,
headless hosts,
marshmallows to toast;
a promise,
of mountains majestic,
with vibrant hue,
summer, where are you?,
a promise,
of spooky mansions,
haunted by spirits,
do we dare go near it?,
a promise,
of bats and vampires,
witches in flight,
oh, a frightening sight;
a promise,
of a month for treats,
so many sweet sweets,
October is especially neat!!!
thought I’d start the month with some fun hopefully lasting until the month is done, Trick or Treat, thanks for reading!!

What traditions are you most thankful for and why? Rupi Kaur's Gratitude Writing Prompts 1. Enormous Gratitude for the return of religious freedom for American Indians in 1978. The same year I got into recovery. That year I could smudge, go into the sweat lodge, attend full-moon ceremony, pipe ceremony, wiping of tears ceremony, and others.
