Lifetime Love
The language of poetry and Love.
Humans Often ricochet
between certainties and doubts.
The only thing
I've never doubted
is you and I.
We always had the
inside right,
so the outside just
fell into place.
I'll probably write
about you for the
rest of my life.
So if there ever
comes a day that
we have to be apart,
you can run
your hands over
my words and
know that these
are me.
Words are things
of beauty and magic,
power and pain.
I'm almost as fascinated
with words as I am
with you.
So you become
my poetry almost
every single time.
You make the hard
things look easy,
and you forgive
so gracefully.
The universe
thought I somehow
deserved your love.
In respect of
it's ways,
and knowledge,
I have yet to
question, "Why?".
I hope for all
willing to commit,
that they experience
the love I receive
from you.
If it's only
once in a lifetime,
then I'll have
lived a true
lifetime once.
About the Creator
Danielle Fairchild
I've been writing since I was in grade school. Poems, small articles, pieces to stories, and I'm finally getting around to wanting a platform to share my work on. I'm a mother, wife, writer, herbalist, and local bartender.
