I crave this amazing connection
When you think of Intimacy
I’m guessing you think sex,
While you wouldn’t be wrong
I crave what comes next.

Intimacy is letting someone in
To nestle deep in your heart,
It’s whispering late at night
Making eye gazing an art.

Intimacy is crying together
Honouring each other’s tears,
It’s talking about your pain
And sharing all your fears.

Intimacy is sharing life stories
Talking about growing up,
Going places that remind you
Of your past hiccups.
***
Intimacy is exchanging energy
Feeling the other without touch,
Being in tune to each other
Knowing their moods as such.

Intimacy is baring your Soul
Even when you are so afraid,
Knowing it will be protected
With your heart on display.
