We read about it in stories

Tied up beautifully in rhymes

Watch it on the big screen

Dream about it in our minds

why is it so illusive

What about it do we crave

Why would we willingly give anything

To feel it’s unique quave

Cities fell trying to conquer it

Men died to feel its power

We fight to own it benefits

Claim victory that its ours

What we forgot is that we own it

Its a gift not a prize to win

Its not something that you search for

Its something from within

We all hold its secret power

Its deep inside our very being

A gift woven inside since creation

Though it’s seldom ever seen

We look to others to give it to us

We beg and plead and cry

When the love your souls in search of

You’ve had within you the whole time

Who am I, you may be asking

That anyone would know

Im no one -people pass by

No one anyone wants to hold

But the truth is though we fight it

You are unique one of a kind

If the world was searched over

One like you you could not find

Deep inside you feel the presence

A gift made special for only you

No one else can hold its power

Meant only for you to ensue

Its love, Not like in story books

It’s raw, fragile and rare

Be careful not to overlook

beauty and power beyond compare

Only in your grasp

Does it have the power to transform

It’s yours and your the master

And you control the storm

inspirational
