If You Only Knew What You Do to Me

Every time.

When you come say hello in the morning

and you hold me

and I smell you.

When you say my name aloud.

When you touch me

taking your sweet time

no rush

no hurry whatsoever.

After all, we have all the time in the world.

When you stare at me

inches from my face

and I feel a kiss is coming.

When we are in the same room

in silence

close by

or apart

and we know

we damn know

this is it.

When the day is over

and we have to go to sleep

but first, we share our bed

we share ourselves

and we know

without a doubt

just precisely how to do

what we want to do.
