How Will You Feel?
When I’m Swept Off My Feet
Think about us
You know, you and me,
Marriage isn't easy
It's certainly not free.
You won't make any sacrifices
Not even for us,
For our marriage to work
It is really a must.
I live with the drinking
Which stops the good times,
But what can I say
You think that's just fine.
I live with the TV
And the importance of work,
But you can't understand
Why any of this hurts.
How are you going to feel
When I'm swept off my feet,
When a guy who thinks I'm special
Comes walking down my street?

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
