I Want You To Know
Can’t Make Any Promises
You probably won't find this
Until I'm no longer around,
You'll know I've gone to sort out
The vows to which I'm bound.
I want you to know I love you
And there's no way I could forget,
What we mean to each other
And how it was we met.
I know we've had some bad times
But the good times were the best,
If we can get through this and be together
Then our love will have passed the final test.
I can't make you any promises
On the decision I'll finally make,
But please remember no matter what it is
My love for you I didn't fake.

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
