Close your eyes and think the word
And it is there
Like magic it conjures
It requires no adjective
And all of them
It is where we belong
It is who we belong to
For others it is a God
And for others still it is a dream
It is an invitation
to be
Open your eyes and whisper the word
And there it is
Like a sigh it soothes the heart
It is water for the parched
And hope for the weary
It is safety for the reckless
It is an embrace for the lonely
Forgiveness for others
Or still silence in a sea of pleading
It is a promise
Of peace
