always is my love for you,
bare beneath the moon, a
cadence singing softly as the
day drifts to dusky bloom.
evergreens bow down to us,
forever our hearts do pledge,
gossamer and stardust
hewn from galaxy's milky edge; yet
in my dreams you wander, my
jaded heart burns with righteous pain
knowing you won't return to me,
lies offered in vows now stained.
mindless, all-consuming rage and
never-ending woe, have
overwhelmed this ravaged soul,
please wake me, let me go!
quell these urges, dark and brutal
release the chains that bind, for
somewhere in this hateful haze
true love still gleams and shines.
unrepentant I will find you, waxing
velvet words to soothe the ache, with
wordless supplications holding
xyris sprung from tears and marshy lake
yield to me, oh demon dreams; let gentle
zephyrs sail me safely back to your embrace.

I am blown away by the few entries Iβve read where I donβt even notice the abcs, hah, and yours is one of these! Elegant and appears effortless. How do you get your images etc or do they just flow forth? Iβm so use to the free verse so any kind of rhyme and structure is daunting. Tips please. ππ
