Fairytale Endings

An anxious retelling of romantic fantasies

I dream of fairytales

I dare to dream

And fight to believe

But life does not comply

I cry myself to sleep at night

I walk around in a haze

I freeze before beauty

Imagining my stead

My armour in a gleam

My consciousness screams

Disappointment wakes me

Her presence escapes me

Fading to a memory

A story I retell

Dragging myself through hell

Another daydream lost

To the darkness of the tales

There are no fairies here for me

Only torture for my mind

A stake for my heart

I stay in the dark

Dreaming of the light

Tales of Love and Romance

Every day, every night
