Fading

Fading away

By K. ShawPublished about a year ago 1 min read

My joy is fading, the darkness sets in

I feel as though I’m drowning within

My sorrow swallows me up like a creature of the sea

It’s hard to breathe

My spark is fading, I’m no longer whole

The darkness has begun to consume my soul

I feel as though I can’t break free

From this feeling of monstrosity

My will is fading, when will this end

Darkness seems to be my only friend

I wade through the pool of endless tears

I find myself screaming from all my fears

I am fading, I am all alone.

Soon my soul will flee and I will be only skin and bone

I am fading, there is no escape

As I sit, I accept my fate
