Ducks On Fire
A Butterfly Cinquain Inspired by Ducks and A Sodium Streetlamp on Cod Beck, Thirsk
I was down at Cod Beck in Thirsk last night and was taking photographs and video of the ducks and the orange sodium street lamp reflected in the water made it look like the ducks were swimming in fire.
I thought that deserved a poem, so I will see if I can remember the format of a butterfly cinquain for this. I put the video and photos into a YouTube slideshow soundtracked by “Fireball” by Ducks Deluxe which I thought was appropriate.
