There's always room for improvement

Disappointment, a bitter pill to swallow

Leaves us feeling empty, hollow

We had hoped for something more

But the outcome was not what we had in store

It comes in many different forms

A lost opportunity, a love that storms

A goal not achieved, a dream deferred

Leaves us feeling lost, unsure and blurred

The sting of disappointment can be severe

It makes us question, doubt and fear

But it's a lesson that we all must learn

That sometimes things just don't turn

Out the way we want them to be

But that doesn't mean we should flee

For in the midst of disappointment

There's always room for improvement

We can pick ourselves up, dust off the pain

And try again, and again, and again

For disappointment is not the end

It's just a bump in the road, my friend

So let us embrace disappointment with grace

And use it as a stepping stone to a better place

For even in our darkest hour

We have the strength to rise with power
