The constant becoming: Identities.

*

We are scattered shards of substance, held by shear will and survival,

a melting pot of moments, blended with, the seeking of revival.

Everything we ever wanted, and the providence of revelation,

things both wanted and unwanted, mixed in perfect combination.

*

The undoing of our innocence, begins as soon as we surrender,

to the wanting acceleration of the gifts, that we are rendered.

Bits and pieces shattered coldly, on the walls of disappointment,

fitting the remnants left behind, into a hodgepodgery's replacement.

*

But we were designed to thrive, so we move on, a new composition,

becoming, in spite of trials, rising to meet our aspirations.

We desire to surpass our flaws, on the path to our redemption,

gazing into the looking glass, a bright and beautiful creation

*

Inspired by the story Scott Wade shared and received a well-earned top story for. "My Path To Redemption."

Loved that you were inspired by another creator on Vocal. So well written. I wonder when the first moment of surrender begins?

  • In Exodus when Moses asks God's name, God responds, "Ehyeh asher ehyeh"--I am/will be/will become who I am/will be/will become. In Genesis we are told that we are created in God's image. So whatever/whoever we have been or are now, what will we become? Who or what would we want to become?
