Even strewn upon this bare earthen womb betwixt needles and husks of ash, life renews. Its delicate seedlings no longer
cloistered among spongy moss and velvet lichen, but
laboring to thrive in the shadows of ancient ghosts that haunt and linger.
Intimidation seeks to stunt their brave push through blackened remains, yet there's something to be said for
perseverance. For the will to overcome despite the naysayers, the critics, the slaves to tedium and the
status quo. They've clawed themselves from the midst of devastation not to suffer in shame and defeat, but to
elevate, take flight and bloom. Beauty born from ruin.
