Our Pack
My girlfriend and I came together ten years ago not knowing where our lives would take us. Never did either of us imagine the amount of fur we'd later surround ourselves with. Both of us had pets growing up and have a love for animals that runs deep. They are not just our pets, but our babies. The deal we make with them is very important to us. If you join our pack and share with us your unconditional love then we will provide for you all that we can and put your needs above our own. Our four dogs and two cats deliver on their promise with each passing moment and so do we. Let me tell you about them.
Tales from a MadmanPublished 3 years ago in PetlifeLolita the Orca
Lolita is a killer whale that has lived at the Miami Seaquarium for more than 50 years. She is over 20 feet (6 meters) in length but lives in the smallest Orca tank in the world - which goes against guidelines. The tank is 20 feet deep and 35 feet wide, barely compensating for a mammal as large as Lolita. Over the years, her captivity has angered many and attempts to get her moved and reunited with her original family through lawsuits and protests have failed. She was captured from Salish Sea Southern Resident Orca Community on August 8 of 1970, where boats, planes and explosives were used to gather and separate calves from their mothers. A total of 80 Orcas were captured that day.
A Veterinarian's Three Favorite Puppy Personalities
Puppies are amazing. They are designed to melt your heart at first sight. From their tiny button noses to the way their eyes light up when they play. Everything about them is made to make you want to take them home immediately. There's a reason that so many people adopt puppies every year, and why puppies never last in a shelter long before somebody snatches them up.

Death is weird. That may be a heinous oversimplification, but it's the best I can come up with when I try to describe what comes to mind when I consider the intricacies of death.

Are Dog Food Subscriptions Worth The Hype? My Take On Ollie!
Hello everyone in the woof world! My name is Winston and I am a supermutt rescue hailed from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. My parents adopted me from Bideawee’s Manhattan location in 2018 and I became a New York City dog. They introduced me to many new things that come with living in the city, many of them are scary (the cars, the honking, the buses and generally all noises from traffic) and took me a while to get accustomed to. However, one thing they did that I am in agreement with right away was to put me on the Ollie diet! And let me tell you why you need to get your parents on the program for you too!
Winston SupermuttPublished 3 years ago in Petlife Chocolate Heaven
Lottie’s twitching nose dragged her slowly from her afternoon slumber. She had been enjoying an active dream of rabbit chasing and at first was reluctant to rise from her incredibly comfortable position on the sofa. Warm patches of sunlight coated her furry body and she felt deliciously relaxed. Rising into a graceful downward dog, she took her time with the stretch and added a pink-tipped yawn for good measure. She plopped herself down onto the carpet, landing just beside the brownish stain that she vaguely remembered being responsible for some time ago. She bent her head and sniffed at it. Yep, that one had definitely been hers.
Sophia Ashton-HookerPublished 3 years ago in PetlifeTen Reasons Cats are Better Than Kids
Okay, so I am an unashamed cat mama. That said, Hubby and I didn’t become parents of real, hairless, human children. So the fur children are it for us. I’ve accepted this reality and I embrace it. For this reason, and because sour grapes, I present to you my “List of reasons cats are better than kids.”

I Tried the Gismo Leash Holder + System & Here's What Happened
Ever since I rescued her 10 years ago, my dog Lenya has been the most important part of my life. It’s been her and I on our own this entire time. People have come and gone throughout the past decade, but Lenya has stuck close by through it all. Through thick and thin we have been a team. That kind of designation means her safety and overall well-being is my number one priority. She deserves the best of the best.

5 Must-Have's Every New Dog Owner Needs
Our furry friends mean more to us than they’ll ever know! When I adopted my first dog, Ducky, I had no idea what being a pet owner would truly entail. When I brought Ducky home from the animal shelter, he had a case of Mange which meant I had to give him baths everyday with a special shampoo that would kill the parasite. If you aren’t familiar, Mange is a type of skin disease caused by parasites that tends to cause hair loss, lesions and itching on the skin in dogs. After a few weeks of his special shampoo baths, the Mange subsided and I swore that I would do everything possible to make sure my sweet pup would never have to suffer through another nasty bug like that again.

A Guide to Making Walk Time More Enjoyable for you and your Dog
Being a single guy living alone in New York City, it’s safe to say that I severely underestimated what adopting a puppy would do to my life. Even after testing my dog dad skills by dog-sitting my family’s mini schnauzer for a month, I don’t think I was ever really prepared for what was to come after adopting my pup, Billy Jack.
