Unemployment has evolved as the most serious and the most talked problem not only among few countries but the whole world. We all have been talking about unempoyment since ages and there hardly seems to be an overall solution to it.

The are governments, runnning, entering and exiting the nation and making a big splash about this serious problem before each and every election but there hardly seems to be a soulution to it. Unemployment is something which is emotionally connected to the general public. The emotion which has been on air since years.

Have you ever thaught that what is the role of schools and colleges in the country and around the world?

Is it just the responsibility of the government to boost up the youths? What is the role of corporates when it comes to youth devlopment around the world? How can we ourselves look after our bright future?

The point here to understand is that we need skills and the industry and economy needs skilled people. Time has gone when the education used to play the most important role, if you were educated you land up with a good job with good pay as well. But today time has changed and industries have come a long way and have figured out to hire and recruite candidates.

Skill development and training helps instill emotional maturity in pupils. Learning new skills requires students to be willing to experiment. While doing so, they might face failures and disappointments but that will eventually prepare them to accept failures gracefully and develop a 'never give up' attitude.

Skills development is a process that aims to improve employees' skills and productivity in the workplace. Skills development is also used to help people find jobs and keep them. It helps with employability, productivity, and competitiveness of employers, as well as promoting self-employment.

Industries are now in search for skilled candidates who can perform the given job much efficiently but that does not mean that the education has lost its priority, the education today is as important as skills.

The Government of India has taken out several plans for skill development, but they are also not sufficient to create opportunities for skill development training in India. They need to emphasize skill development programs and help individuals to make use of their talent and knowledge. Today, everyone wants to establish a good career and for this, proper skill development trainings are required. It comes up to be an important part of any individual’s career.

The skill development training in India should be made compulsory to enhance all-round expertise of the people. They need proper guidance and training initiatives to develop. Communication, technological know-how, etc. are important for individuals to have a hold on. This can only be possible if they get enough opportunities to grow and develop through skill development trainings.

Since many universities have given importance to skill development, it was found that many students were placed easily. Organizations today want effective and productive people. With skill development, people can work effectively and achieve success in whatever they do. There can be increased chances of promotions and individuals can experience a lift in their careers. All in all, skill development training in India is a must!

The schools and colleges should have some sort of skills development secession added, skill development courses like : Leadership, entrepreneurship, public speaking and such courses which will help the students to tackle the corporate challanges of tomorrow and it will also help them to become future leaders as well.

We have leading industries but very few really look after the general public. Tata's are among those few business group which contributes back to the society. The legacy is such that it remains same as it was 200 years ago.

Skill development has been considered one of the critical aspect for job creation in India. India has unique demographic advantage with more than 60% of the population is in young age group. But in order to get dividend from such large work force, employability has to be improved. As per current statistics only 10% of the fresh graduates are employable and rest of the 90% lack skills required for eligible to be hired by corporate. India’s GDP is growing at great rate of around 6-8% but job creation is not catching up with it.

India is relatively a younger nation compared to its neighbours. Every year around 28 million youth gets added to India’s workforce. As per an assessment conducted by the National Sample Survey Office, India’s unemployment rate was at a forty-five year high of 6.1% in the year 2018. The country was already reeling under economic slowdown when the COVID pandemic hit. The pandemic has completely disrupted the economic landscape of the nation.
