once a student monk went to his master and said master I can't live in this Temple anymore I want to leave this Place and go to a peaceful and quiet Monastery then the master monk asked why what's wrong with this Temple tell me what happened then the student monk said see everyone in this Temple are toxic to me me monks who are too much into politics in this Temple and there are some other monks who always talks negative stuff about me
and about others and there are some
others who spend their whole day doing
nothing but just
gossiping I don't think that I can
practice my spiritual life in this
Temple please let me go to a peaceful and a quiet Monastery where there is no
toxic people around me
then the master monk said okay I will
let you go but before going you have to
do me a favor for the one last time then
the student monk said tell me master
what should I do for you then the master
monk took a spoonful of water and gave
it to the student Monk and said you must
carry this spoonful of water around the
monastery and you should bring it to me
but here's the trick you must never
spill a single drop of water from it if
you can do it I will let you go to a
peaceful Monastery so thinking that the
master will let him go to a peaceful
Monastery by completing this weird
request the student monk took the
Spoonful of water and carried it around
the monastery fully focused and without
spin feeling a single drop from it so
after a few hours the student monk came
back to the master with a happy face and
said master I did it I carried this
spoonful of water all around the
monastery even without spilling a drop
from it so now let me go to a peaceful
Monastery then the master monk said okay
my student you are free to go but before
you go just tell me one thing while you
were carrying the Spoonful of water
around the monastery did you hear any of
the mons talking about
politics did you hear any of the MS
gossiping about other people did you
hear any of the monks talking negative
stuff about you then the student monk
said master I was focused on the spoon
and I didn't have any time to listen to
all those noises Jus then the master
monk said see my student if you are
fully focused on your goal and if you're
fully focused on your purpose you don't
have time to listen to all those other
negative noises around you remember
wherever you go in this world you will
meet negative people around you but if
you're fully focused on your goal and on
your larger purpose all the other
negative people and all the other
negative words that you hear are nothing
but just noises ladies and gentlemen it
is all about what we focus in our life
the more we focus on other people's
behaviors other people's words other
people's lives there will be many toxic
people around us but if we are focused
on ourselves our goals our purpose all
those negative stuff will become nothing
but just a noise see it is easy to
criticize other people it is easy to see
the dark side and the negative side of
people but it takes a heart of bravery
and kindness to see the bright side of
people we all have imperfections in our
life we all make mistakes we all make
bad choices and all those faults
imperfections are the things that makes
us who we are so when you work with
people or when you are on social media
you will come across with people that
you don't like you will come across with
ideas that you don't agree with remember
in all those times you have the power to
choose whether to react with
negativity or to respond to them with
positivity ladies and gentlemen it is
all all about what you choose to do and
what you focus in your life so focus on
yourself and choose to respond to them
with

Power of controlling emotions
[Music] once upon a time there lived a young boy in a small town the boy had a very short temper and used to shout at anybody anytime and anywhere he would not think for a second before opening his mouth in anger and start using abusive and offensive language everyone used to dislike him for his impulsive and rude Behavior his parents were deeply troubled by his bad temper they tried various methods to help him manage his anger and improve his behavior but all their efforts were in vain the boy was aware of his anger issues but he could never control his temper when things did not go his way one day his father came to him and handed over a bag full of nails and a hammer the boy got very confused his father then said my son you have a very short temper why don't you hammer a nail in the fence every time you get angry at first the boy found it hilarious but then he agreed and took the bag full of nails now every time he would get angry he would run towards the fence and hammer a nail in the fence on the first day he hammered 30 Nails into the fence by the second day he he had hammered 28 more Nails after a week the fence had about 150 Nails as days passed he became more aware of his anger and gradually the number of nails he hammered each day started to decrease eventually there came a day when he did not Hammer any nail at all he realized that it was easier to control his anger than to drive a nail into the fence the boy went to his father and told him that several days has passed and he has not hammered any nail in the fence the father said you have learned to control your temper now remove the nail every time as you control your anger the boy agreed and began to pull in nail out each day he was calm and did not lose his temper a few days later when all the nails were pulled out of the fence the boy happily went to his father and told him about it the father appreciated the son and took him near the fence then the father asked the son pointing to the holes in the fence what do you see there the son replied there are holes in the fence then father said Son you had a very short temper but you learn to control it but look at this fence it still has holes in it that can never be fixed like before the fence never look the same it has cars all over it the boy started to listen closely to his father the father continued you often said harsh things to people in Anger which has left a deep impact on them these impacts are like scars to them which they will remember forever therefore never UT harsh words in anger because although you may forget what you said but the pain inflicted by your words can l a lifetime if we see in our daily lives we will see that just like the boy in the story we often face situations that make us react impulsively if we don't control our anger we might say or do things that we later regret the nails in the fence symbolize the heart we cause to others with our words or actions removing the nail represents the effort needed to heal the damage caused by our actions scars in the fence symbolize that while external injuries heal over time but the wounds caused by harsh shorts can stay fresh for a long time moreover anger is such a fire that burns us first and then spread to others when we are angry our mind becomes clouded and we cannot think clearly what is right and what is wrong anger makes our mouth work faster than our mind many times violence happen in the Heat of the Moment interestingly most of the people in the prison are not professional criminals but ordinary individuals who could not control their anger for a brief moment the main lesson of the story is to be more self-aware and control our emotions it reminds us to think before we speak consider the sequences of our anger and choose our words carefully it teaches us to develop patience empath and understanding knowing that once we say something we can't take it back so whenever you feel that anger is taking over you remember that anger not only hurts others and leaves permanent scars on their hearts but it may also lead to violence and you may have to regret later if you can control yourself in those heated moments you will be thankful ler for keeping your emotions in check that's why it is wisely said that a moment of patience in a moment of anger can save you from a 100 moments of Sorrow [Music]

WHO DRANK THE WINE IN THE BARN?
An average kid heard stories of the princesses, like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella before the age of five, but growing up in a rural village in the east of Nigeria, I did not hear stories of those trios until I was twelve years old and in secondary school.
