Scuttle Buttle Segue
whimsical waft waffle
i'm walking sideways
like a crab
more shuffle
than step
a whole lot of buttle
in my scuttle
i'm reaching inwards
trying to find the source
of the things i don’t want
the things i don’t need
the things i don't like
the things i don’t heed
and the things you can buy
for a dollar
more dissonant reflection
the any real introspection
i'm hurtling backwards
at twice the speed of fright
and from where i stand
completely unplanned
i can see both day and night
i'm flailing, falling in a fashion
a spasticised backstroke in the air
my rate of descent should be alarming
and yet i don't seem to care
